Reclosers

The unsung heroes of power distribution networks, they are designed to intelligently manage faults and restore service without manual intervention. Automatically detecting short-circuits and overcurrent faults, they interrupt the flow of electricity, and - if the fault is temporary -automatically restore power after a brief pause. If any issues continue, the recloser isolates the faulted section, keeping the rest of the network energized and working.
